Common Questions
Naqi is not detecting my AI client.
Naqi auto-detects installed clients by checking known config file paths. Make sure the client has been run at least once (so its config file exists). You can check Settings > About for the paths Naqi scans.
A server shows as "Unknown" — what does that mean?
"Unknown" means Naqi has not been able to check the server's connection status yet. Use "Check All" on the Servers page to ping all servers and update their status.
I accidentally removed something. Can I undo?
Yes. Every cleanup action creates a timestamped backup before modifying any file. Go to History > Undo History and click "Undo" on any action to restore the original state.
How do I activate my Pro license?
After purchasing Naqi Pro on the Mac App Store, your subscription is automatically activated. No license key needed — your purchase is tied to your Apple ID.
I lost my license key.
Your subscription is managed through your Apple ID. Go to System Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions to check your Naqi Pro status.
Safe Mode is blocking me from making changes.
Safe Mode prevents all config modifications and is on by default. To disable it, go to Settings > Safe Mode and toggle it off. You can also use ⌘⇧M anywhere in the app.
Naqi won't open after an update.
Try deleting ~/Library/Application Support/app.naqi.desktop and relaunching. If that doesn't help, email support@getnaqi.com with your macOS version and the crash log from ~/Library/Logs/app.naqi.desktop/naqi.log.
